What to expect

If your child is a netball lover, or perhaps wants to take up this exciting sport in their new school year, then Discover Netball Camp is the perfect opportunity to get prepared!

Discover Netball Camp takes place at Westonbirt School in Gloucestershire, and provides three days of specialist coaching with the aim of boosting overall confidence with game play. Specific areas of focus throughout our three day camp will include technical skills for attack and defence positions, ball and movement skills, strength and conditioning, as well as hand-eye coordination.

No matter your child’s level of experience, Discover Netball Camp is designed to build confidence both on and off the court, while fostering friendships and active participation!

Day 1:

• Start with a general warm up consisting of stretches and cardio
• Ball skills basics, leading into controlled passing
• Positions used in netball and what their job is
• Passing channels using their ball skills which helps to create space when playing
• Game play

Day 2:

• Warm up and ball skills
• Attacking and defence drills
• Shooting and using the circle for the best possible outcome
• Netball games linked to all the above
• Game play

Day 3:

• Warm up
• Umpire signals and understanding of faults
• Advanced ball skills
• Fitness
• Game play followed by awards and certificates from development and achievement over the 3 days

Key Info

This three day course takes place over Wednesday 3 January to Friday 5 January, from 9:00am until 3:00pm. Wrap around care is also available from 8:00am to 5:30pm for an additional £15 a day.

These sessions are designed for children in years 3, 4, 5 & 6. We welcome all experience levels.

A hot nutritious lunch will be provided each day. Please provide any snacks and a water bottle.

Pricing

Prices for a single day come in at £45 per child, or you can book the full three day course for a reduced rate of £120 per child. Care before and after the sessions is available from 8:00am until 5:30pm for an additional £15 a day.
