We are absolutely delighted to announce that Rupert House School in Henley is joining Wishford Education.
A highly successful Nursery and Prep School for children aged 3-11 years, with an outstanding academic record, Rupert House has been at the heart of Henley’s community for 100 years this year. The outstanding education they deliver, the strong family ethos that infuses life in the school, and a determination to put the experience of the child at the centre of everything they do, makes them a natural fit for Wishford. They join us at a time when they have successfully transitioned to being fully co-educational, with growing pupil numbers. An exciting development plan is already in place, and we very much look forward to helping them continue to thrive. They will be able to access a huge amount of shared experience and expertise from staff across the group, and, in their turn, contribute to this well of knowledge.
Charles Lowe, Chair of Governors commented, ‘We are delighted to have found a partner in Wishford who can fully realise our ambitions for Rupert House and that will enhance the already outstanding education we deliver to our pupils. They share our values and are keen to support and develop our close links with the wider Henley community. Wishford brings the scale, back-office expertise and financial clout that will see Rupert House looking forward to its next 100 years with confidence.’
Wishford‘s Founder and Executive Chairman Sam Antrobus said, ‘We are very selective about the schools that we bring into our group and Rupert House is the first to join since 2018. We only work with schools when we believe that there is a strong match in ethos and beliefs and we certainly felt this to be the case with Rupert House. The school will retain its strong identity and approach with Nick Armitage and his team continuing to drive the school forward. We will be able to add expertise in all of those disciplines required to support and expand the delivery of a first-class education. We are very excited to have Rupert House joining the Wishford family.’
