Part Time Early Years Assistant
OVERVIEW
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious Early Years Assistant to join our exciting and growing Little Griffins Nursery. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in planning across the different age groups (currently two rooms), build positive relationships within their highly skilled team, and support us in expanding the nursery, including the planned opening to two-year-olds in the next academic year.
Hours, Salary & Benefits:
Hours: Part time, mornings only year round position. 8:30am – 1pm. 22.5 hours per week.

Person Specification:
- Nursery Nursing qualification such as CACHE Diploma in Child Care and Education, NVQ Level 3
- To have a good knowledge of the EYFS Framework
- The ability to build positive and meaningful relationships with our youngest children
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Teaching and Learning Responsibilities:
- To provide a safe, friendly, stimulating environment in which the pupils can flourish.
- To provide exciting, interesting learning opportunities and provision for pupils to discover the word for themselves.
- To provide opportunities for fun and enjoyment within the nursery that support in developing each pupils love of learning.
- To be responsible for creating a stimulating, productive learning environment in the classroom and shared areas.
- To follow the EYFS Framework in order to promote the development of the abilities and aptitudes of the pupils in any class or group assigned.
- To support with planning for each week
- To assist in any review of schemes of work.
- To, with supervision, assess and record pupils’ progress.
- To liaise with the Nursery Lead and SEND Teacher regarding any children with specific needs. As required, liaise with parents and other schools/agencies involved.
