Sports Coach
OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Sports Coach to join our team on a part time basis to develop and encourage children to learn and enjoy physical activity and sport. We teach a range of sports, including rugby, hockey, football, netball.
The successful candidate will have a Level 2 in sports coaching, and some experience of coaching children between the ages of 4-11 years old.
Hours, Salary & Benefits:
Hours: Mon, Tues, Weds. 35 weeks per year. 1pm – 4pm with flexibility of being able to work overtime until 5pm.
Salary: £15.00 per hour

Job Description:
Being a coach to young sport stars doesn’t come without its challenges. That’s why we encourage those who are applying to come equipped with experience working with children.
Responsibilities:
- Working alongside the Director of Sport to run engaging and purposeful coaching sessions.
- To provide a safe, friendly, stimulating environment in which the pupils can flourish.
- Lead teams for fixtures against schools from the local area.
- Communicate effectively to Staff, Pupils and Parents.
- To take responsibility for the pastoral care of pupils allocated.
- To promote the school’s policies and expectations.
- To maintain the high standards of dress and behaviour for their pupils.
- To adhere fully to all school policies including: Anti-Bullying, Safeguarding and Behaviour policies.
- To Drive groups of 8 children to local fixtures.
- To undertake break/lunchtime supervision duties as required.
- To organise/assist with after-school activities as required.
Skills and Qualities:
- NGB Level 2 coaching qualification in at least one sport
- Has energy and initiative
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A high level of personal organisation
- High level of coaching ability and commitment to developing their knowledge and skill
- Previous experience working in schools, leading sessions, working with children from all backgrounds, and maintaining control of large groups without direct support/supervision
- To ensure students are taught according to their individual needs and abilities
