We are excited to announce that Cricklade Manor Prephave been awarded the Silver Eco Schools’ Award and are now only one step away from the Green Flag Award. We couldn’t have done it without our Earth Keepers, who this year have been focusing on keeping the school tidy with our weekly litter pick, emptying recycling bins every Friday and reminding everyone to switch off lights when leaving the classroom.

In addition to this, this term we have been working on a curriculum review, thinking about the lessons we are taught and how these lessons link to the 10 Eco-Schools’ topics. We have also added an Eco-Tip of the week to the school newsletter, encouraging our parents and families to think about how they can be more eco-friendly at home.

We still have many plans in place such as talking to Colin in the kitchen about the amount of food waste we are producing. I would like to say a huge well done to all the Earth Keepers across the school for their support this year and also to all of you for always thinking about how we can look after our school and the planet!
