Speech & Language Therapist

Overview

Overview of role:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our Learning Enhancement team at Rupert House. The therapist will work with students in the Pre Prep and Prep school who have speech, language and communication needs.

The role will involve providing detailed assessment, 1:1 therapy, individualised treatment programmes to address underlying difficulties. You will be expected to support parents and teaching staff to facilitate the individual’s development and to advise on strategies for supporting students with communication needs. You will be expected to stay current on best practices and research in the field of speech and language therapy.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant Speech and Language Therapy qualification
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • Experience of working with children with SEND (e.g. Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, hypermobility, ADHD, ASD, SEMH needs)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals
  • Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting

 

Hours, Salary & Benefits:

This role is on a self employed basis
