Wishford Journal of Innovation in Education

Inaugural Issue Launch: 30 April 2026

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Wishford Journal of Innovation in Education, a new publication dedicated to exploring the evolving landscape of educational practice, pedagogy, and technology.

The inaugural issue will be unveiled at the AI x EI Conference on 30th April 2026, where printed copies will be distributed to all delegates. The journal will also be made available online, ensuring wide accessibility to educators, researchers, and practitioners worldwide.

Theme: “The Future: Fear or Flourishing?”

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into educational settings, we stand at a critical juncture. This first edition invites contributions that engage honestly and thoughtfully with the opportunities and challenges that AI presents for teaching, learning, and educational leadership.

We welcome articles that explore:

  • Concerns and cautions: What worries you about AI in education? What risks do we need to address?
  • Practical experiences: What have you tried? What worked, what didn’t, and what did you learn?
  • Hopeful visions: How might AI enhance learning, support teachers, and improve educational outcomes?
  • Ethical considerations: Questions of equity, access, privacy, and the changing role of educators
  • Pedagogical innovation: New approaches to teaching and learning in an AI-augmented world
  • Student voice and agency: How can we ensure learners remain at the centre of educational transformation?

This theme deliberately creates space for diverse perspectives. We value contributions from those who approach AI with optimism, those who harbour significant reservations, and those navigating the complex middle ground.
