We are delighted to announce that Louise Carmichael-Line will be joining St David’s Prep in West Wickham as the next Head of our wonderful school in September 2026, following Julia Foulger’s retirement. As we expected, the recruitment process attracted a great deal of interest and a very strong field of applicants. Louise greatly impressed across all aspects of this process and her warmth and enthusiasm made a positive impression throughout the school. With high standards and expectations, and a desire for every pupil to fulfil their potential, Louise’s values and ethos are very well aligned with the school’s. We are confident her commitment, energy and determination will drive the school forward, building on the strong foundations and many successes of recent years.

Louise has many years’ senior leadership experience. She is currently Deputy Head Pastoral of the Junior School at St Dunstan’s College, and before that, was Head of Pre-Prep at St Paul’s Cathedral School. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and is a Team Inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate.

We look forward to welcoming her to the school over the coming months, ahead of starting her headship next September. She will be attending Open Days, so there will be an opportunity for prospective families to meet and get to know her.
