Welcome to staff of Rendcomb College

Firstly, we would like to say how sorry we were to hear the news and how much we sympathise with you. The closure of a school, especially one of such long standing and reputation as Rendcomb College, is distressing for everyone involved. We have been friendly rivals for many years and have shared many families over the years. Many of the Wishford team have friends and former colleagues working at the College. We stand ready to support you and your families at this difficult time.

About Wishford Education

Wishford Education is a group of 11 schools across the south of England. Local to Rendcomb College are Westonbirt School, Cricklade Manor Prep and Hatherop Castle School. Heywood Prep is a little further away in Corsham, Wiltshire. Each has its own character, but they share a core ethos, providing high-quality learning, outstanding opportunities and a happy, caring environment in which children achieve amazing things.

We had planned carefully for the changes which have impacted the independent schools sector in recent years. Westonbirt School (2-18, co-ed, day and boarding)

Hatherop Castle School (2-13, co-ed, day and boarding)

Hatherop Castle, hidden deep in the Cotswolds, gives each child the opportunity to experience the Adventure of Childhood. Cricklade Manor Prep (2-11, co-ed, day)

Cricklade Manor sits in extensive grounds in the heart of Cricklade. A friendly, nurturing and welcoming school, we also boast excellent academic credentials, and for those pupils keen to go onto grammar secondary schools, our 11+ programme is extremely successful. Although we are a prep school, we have facilities more usually found in a senior setting, including two fully equipped science laboratories and excellent spaces for sport. Our Cricklade Pupil Development programme was recognised as a Significant Strength in our recent ISI inspection, reflecting provision that has is tailored to each individual pupil to help them achieve their potential.
