Location:

A Beautiful Cotswold Setting. The Family Camp programme is hosted on the inspiring Westonbirt School campus, near Tetbury, one of the most charming and sought after towns in the Cotswolds. Famous for its historic character and beautiful surroundings, Tetbury is also close to Highgrove, the private residence of His Majesty King Charles III. Westonbirt is an ideal base for families to discover the very best of Britain, with Bath, Oxford, Bristol and London all within easy reach, alongside some of the UK’s most iconic attractions, historic landmarks and cultural destinations. Families stay together in Holford House, with en-suite bedrooms available for 2, 3 or 4 family members and a range of shared spaces, including a communal kitchen, spacious common room and outdoor garden terrace – the perfect setting for relaxing together and enjoying al fresco dining on warm summer evenings.

Your Accommodation: Holford House

Located in the historic town of Tetbury, just 4 miles from Westonbirt School, Holford House offers beautiful and comfortable accommodation for parents and children to enjoy their visit to the Cotswolds. Situated within it’s own stunning grounds, Holford House is the perfect retreat for parents and children to enjoy the charming surroundings and proximity to nearby towns and cities such as Bath and Bristol.

Quiet and relaxing accommodation will comprise of bedrooms with 1, 2 or 3 beds, with a comfortable and spacious living area to relax in. The stunning gardens offer the perfect space to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring.

Westonbirt School:

Set within glorious countryside, Westonbirt House, the home of Westonbirt School, was built in the late 1800s by Robert Holford, one of the richest men in England, and was the most expensive and luxurious country house created in the whole of the Victorian era.

A school for over 90 years, its stunning architecture and interior design, as well as extensive parkland, make Westonbirt House a dramatic and exciting environment in which to live and learn and perfect for running around the huge green surroundings.

CHILD PROGRAMME – 4-9 YEAR OLDS
Younger children join our Discover Activity day camp at beautiful Westonbirt, where they will learn and play alongside local English children. The programme includes Discover English lessons.

YOUTH PROGRAMME – 10-16 YEAR OLDS
Children aged 10-16 join other students at our residential summer school.

PARENT PROGRAMME:
Parents enjoy a varied programme of daily excursions to some of the UK’s most loved destinations and attractions, combining cultural experiences, sightseeing and shopping. From historic cities and iconic landmarks to charming Cotswold villages and renowned shopping destinations, there is something to discover every day, while children enjoy their own exciting activity programme at Westonbirt.

Transport

A daily pick up by minibus is available to collect and deliver children to and from Westonbirt School’s Discover Activity Camp, before parents are able to enjoy the day exploring the local area, enjoy a coffee or browse antique shops nearby. The children will arrive home at 17:15 in their own dedicated minibus.

Food

A freshly prepared daily breakfast will be provided for all parents and children each morning at Holford House by the catering staff, ready to set you all up for a day of fun and adventure. Children will be given healthy snacks to take with them, keeping them energised throughout the day. A hot lunch is provided daily during the summer camp for all children at Westonbirt.

Parents will be offered a daily picnic each day of the week whilst their child is at camp, with a choice of sandwich fillings, fruit, healthy snack options and a drink, allowing parents to explore the local area and eat their lunch at leisure. All guests will be provided with a two course hot dinner served at Holford House each night of the week.

Parent Trips and Excursions

Parents will be able to enjoy planned trips on four weekdays, whilst children are at Westonbirt’s Discover Activity Camps. We would be delighted to offer ideas for things to see and do whilst staying with us at Holford House, so parents can enjoy a mixture of cultural, historic, city and outdoor trips.

On the first Monday of each group, parents will be given a full tour of Westonbirt School, and will get the chance to visit Westonbirt Arboretum, explore Tetbury and visit the local supermarket to stock up on essentials.

Minimum Numbers:
• 20 paid guests per group

Maximum Numbers:
• 32 guests on any given day
• Maximum of 16 adults per group

Fees include:
• Accommodation in family rooms at Holford House
• Daily breakfast served from Holford House
• Children’s snack and hot lunches for the days they attend Camps (Monday – Friday)
• Packed lunches for parents (Monday – Friday)
• Dinner on 7 evenings (Monday – Sunday)
• 4 x parent trips per week (within 1.5 hours of Holford House) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (*excludes admission fees to attractions)
• 1 x family trip per week on Saturday
• Attendance to Westonbirt’s Discovery Activity Camps between Monday & Friday for all children aged 4 and over.
• 1.5 hours English tuition for children each week
• Fun supervised entertainment for the children during the weekday evenings, allowing the parents time to enjoy some time to themselves in the evenings.
• Weekly laundry service
• Free WiFi access within Holford House
• Transfers to and from Heathrow
