Minibus Driver

Overview of role:

High March School and Davenies School are seeking minibus drivers for their morning School runs with optional work as a member of the operations team in between. You will be doing the morning pick up routes, dropping the children at High March School and/or Davenies School.

Candidates will need to be confident in interacting with children and be able to maintain a good atmosphere on the bus. You will need to have a warm and flexible approach, be able to show initiative and work well on their own and as part of a team.

 

Requirements:

Drivers will ideally hold a a current category ‘D’ PSV licence, or unrestricted D1.

The post holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the school’s Safeguarding Staff Behaviour Policy Statement at all times.

If in the course of carrying out the duties of the post the post holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare or children in the school s/he must report any concerns to the Headmaster or Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Hours, Salary & Benefits:

Hours: 2.5 hours per day. 5 days per week. Totalling 12.5 hours per week. 7:30am – 9:30am, term time only, permanent role. 340 hours per year. Morning School runs required, with optional availability to cover additional ad-hoc trips as and when required, as well as the option to work as a member of the operations team in between.

Salary: £14.46 per hour

High March School:

High March is a thriving mixed-ability preparatory day-school for girls aged 3 to 11 with a co-educational Nursery in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The School is divided into a Junior House for children aged 3 to 7 and an Upper School for children aged 7 to 11.
